Marilyn came to my studio for her first Head Shots.  It was a beautiful afternoon so we decided to take a walk down the block to capture some candid moments.  She really is a natural in front of the camera.

Ok, really my model needed some great abdominal shots.  He certainly made it easy!  Not only does he look good but a very cool guy too.

PJ Love - John White

I had recently attended a seminar celebrating 30 years of photojournalism instruction from the most influential photography teacher in Chicago.  How amazing to be in a room filled with so many people sharing the same passion for photography!

John White has touched so many of our hearts and lives, he has made his fingerprint in PJ photography in Chicago.  The number of students he has taught over the past 30 years is amazing.  Many of us have become professional photographers and photojournalists at some of the top newspapers in the country.  It was an amazing experience to see so many of his students in one place sharing stories and successes.  It was also inspiring to hear John lecture once again.  

 Thank you John White for everything you have given all of us!!

It has been a while since my last blog. Okay, it has been an extremely long while, I have been busy. But that excuse will end there because I have a lot of photos to share with you. And I have come to realize that this is the best way to share with everyone what I am up too. So, I am planning on posting new images every week, please check back with me!

I have been playing around with textures in post production and this last photo is how it turned out, SO COOL! (click on the photo to see a larger view)

Its soooo COLD!

Okay so here in Chicago we can get some bitter cold winds. It was freezing here for what seemed like several weeks. If you never lived in cold weather before I don't think you understand the phrase "cold to the bones". Yea, my bones actually shiver. It's not really an enjoyable feeling but sometimes you gotta say "if you can't beat them, join them". Of course referring to mother nature and these cold days. So during this extreme cold spell (I'm talking average of 20'C below winds!) I have to go take photos. Somehow it doesn't look as cold in these photos as it really is. These photos were taken on Feb 12, 2007 during the coldest week of the season.
