Its soooo COLD!

Okay so here in Chicago we can get some bitter cold winds. It was freezing here for what seemed like several weeks. If you never lived in cold weather before I don't think you understand the phrase "cold to the bones". Yea, my bones actually shiver. It's not really an enjoyable feeling but sometimes you gotta say "if you can't beat them, join them". Of course referring to mother nature and these cold days. So during this extreme cold spell (I'm talking average of 20'C below winds!) I have to go take photos. Somehow it doesn't look as cold in these photos as it really is. These photos were taken on Feb 12, 2007 during the coldest week of the season.

Winter Blues

I know I am not the only Chicagoan that has the winter blues and cabin fever!! The only nice thing about the cold weather, that we still have since Oct, is when we have beautiful snow storms like the past few days. The large snowflakes gently floating down, lighter then a feather. The city covered in a light blanket of white crystals. I felt I had to capture this moment that we will only miss in July when the air conditioner can't keep the apt. cool enough. So to relieve my cabin fever I took my camera and decided to brave the cold for an hour. These are just a few examples of what I found walking around my block.
