Jonah & Katie tied the knot!

I was so excited to photograph Jonah and Katie's intimate wedding ceremony!  The many tiny details of their day made this wedding truly one of a kind.

The pre-ceremony activities were held in Jonah's Grandparents home.  I was thrilled to have found a beautiful antique wardrobe in one of the rooms!  It became the perfect background setting for the bride to get ready.  The groom's sister designed and made the bride's gown and to have the bride put it on in front of the Grandmother's wardrobe gave a special quality to the images.   Katie even had custom monogrammed cufflinks made for Jonah as a personalized wedding gift.  Another unique detail of this couple's wedding.

The emotion and closeness that is found at an intimate backyard wedding is so heartfelt.  I just loved their ceremony held in the tree lined yard of the Grandparents home.  They had the wonderful idea of putting their wedding rings on a ribbon so that each guest at the ceremony could see, hold, and give their blessing on the wedding bands before the bride and groom's ring exchange.  I captured many guest's reactions and have included a few images of the ring blessing in the blog below.

After their ceremony we went on a lovely Bride and Groom walk.  We spent an hour walking through a beautiful college campus near the ceremony.  We choose the location based on the ambience, proximity and a sweet memory. The couple once had a date and watched fireworks there.  Now they created their own fireworks as they walked thru the grounds as a newly married couple!

Mazel Tov!!
