It was a perfect day for a beautiful wedding at The Chicago Botanic Gardens. One of our favorite venues! If you haven't been to the gardens please take a trip, you will not regret it. The Gardens are filled with beautiful greenery, roses, flowers, lakes, etc. You can spend an entire day there if you wanted. There is a lot of ground to cover so you can spend your day walking around or there is also a train that takes you on a guided tour thru the park. There are several benches you can just sit and relax while listening and watching birds or just read a book. I like to go there with camera in hand because the scenery is breathtaking. If your hungry there is a restaurant on the grounds and you can dine either in or outside. There are also bike trails and the Ravenswood Metra train goes there! Joanne and Phieu are so in love and their intimate wedding was a reflection of this. It was so much fun to take them through The Gardens for a photo shoot after their ceremony and lunch reception. The grounds of The Botanic Gardens made for exquisite scenery for their bridal walk.
You may remember this couple from an earlier blog when we photographed them in an urban setting prior to their wedding day. They choose to do this so we could have as much time as possible in the Gardens while still being able to capture the scenery of Chicago while Joanne was in her wedding dress. They got their cake and ate it too!!
